"KINGPIN UNCUT" is the story of Trey P. from birth to age 18. This album captures his introduction to the streets and to music as an expression of all cultures. "Tha lessons I learned was tha blessins I taught..." -Trey P. Young and charismatic he was influenced early by Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and other great black pioneers. In music Trey was always found, if he wasn't playing or listening to music he was performing and making music! At 13 he started performing in clubs, 5 years later he hosted a "Music Extravaganza" as a freshmen for his college campus; "I rounded up every kind of artist mayne, from didjere dudez (didgeridoo)to 1 & 2's" -Trey P. Shortly after recording "Never - Given" and a sophmore in collage Trey dropped out with the industry looking like a huge hole(this all on the album if you listen). "The industry seemed to be turning for the worst with radio playing the same 8 songs and they all sound the same, videos showing no creativity or artistry, limited releases of Tupac, and artist switchin to pop to cuz dey gangsta shit don't sell no mo!" This was frustrating to an artist who studied the rules of the game and knew, "The rulez of the game iz..you do a song or whatever it is that you do and you do from the heart, you try to guide those that follow or believe in you to a better understandin of yourself and those around you! Music is the universal language...." -Trey P. And this was just a glimpse of the code that he lives by. On New Years Eve, Trey arrived in California set in now recording hot tracks to document his progess WestCoastFlava!!!
